Mission

The mission of S.O.S. is to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need. It is our goal that children and youth will know and fall in love with Jesus and become leaders in our community. It is our prayer that we will come together—rich and poor, young and old—to share the love of Jesus with one another.

About

Serving on the Streets (S.O.S.) is a non-denominational 501(c) 3 Christian Ministry that reaches out to the low-income children, youth, and families in Brazil, Indiana. God continues to amaze and grow S.O.S. Since 2003, our programs have expanded. We have added a preschool, summer camps, youth group, a sponsorship program, an annual shoe giveaway, an annual back to school backpack giveaway, and a Christmas Extravaganza. When S.O.S. began, we had a small group of kids, an old bus with no brakes, and a small house to meet in. Today we serve over 300 kids and their families, own a fleet of vans and buses and a huge building. God truly will take our simple obedience and turn it into great abundance.
